Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to special needs students in alignment with their Personalized Education Plans (PEPs)
• Foster a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive learning environment while promoting independence and resilience
• Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, parents and external agencies to ensure comprehensive student support
• Use innovative approaches to encourage student engagement, foster curiosity and enhance individual learning experiences
• Take an active role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A relevant SNVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification or equivalent, or willing to work towards one
• Proven experience in a supportive role, ideally within a special education setting
• Expertise in using inclusive, adaptive teaching strategies
• Effective communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with students, parents and teaching staff
• Strong organisational skills, adaptability and a positive, empathetic approach to all interactions
