Nationality: English
I have a range of experience in Senior Management
posts as well as Headship.
I have held posts as a Deputy Head and a Headteacher
in a variety of challenging scenarios in multicultural
urban areas as well as more recently in rural areas
and have always endeavoured to make an impact on
pupils, parents and the wider school community.
On completing my MA in Education Management I wanted
to gain further experience in a range of schools.
In order to achieve this I have worked successfully
for Empowering Learning as a Consultant Headteacher
in two Thurrock schools.
I have also provided some INSET for them and find
their professionalism, enthusiasm and vision for
providing opportunities and support to a range of
colleagues exemplary.
In my role as a consultant I have also supported
schools through OFSTED and special measures as well
as developing middle management opportunities for
a range of staff.
My background also includes working as an external
tutor at Middlesex University on the PGCE programme
as well as currently working as an external tutor
for the AO (Assessment Only) route for QTS with
the University of Gloucestershire.
I have a strong commitment to the schools I serve
and am able to build a strong sense of team and
purpose with a clear vision for success and raising
achievement.
I have a good sense of humour, am passionate about
children learning and the rights of teachers to
teach. I am a strong advocate of the 3R’s (Rights,
Rules and Responsibility) and am able to articulate
this to the school and the wider community.
