Recruitment Manager - Secondary
Division
I am in my fifth year of working for Empowering Learning and enjoy it immensely. I particularly like meeting teachers from all corners of the world. Supporting them in training and finding them work in the UK education system can be very rewarding. There is a very warm, ethical element to our company which makes every day great and I think this is appreciated by teachers and schools we work with, especially those who have experienced the colder, very commercial type of agency.
I qualified with a BSc. in Geography and Sports Science and have a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
I taught English for 2 years in Greece (wonderful!) and spent 14 years recruiting and training in the restaurant industry and 5 years in Education, working in both the US and UK. I’m keen on most sports and love traveling and new experiences. I’m from Birmingham originally but my accent is very upper-class! Also I’m the only guy in the office and I really don’t know what to say about that! It just happened that way but to be honest the ladies are great to work with and we have a lot of fun here.
